"The Knicks are planning to waive center Eddy Curry after February's trade deadline, according to a report in The New York Post."
This suggestion makes sense, as Curry has proved again and again that his only value to the team is as a trading chip.
However, trading him (as opposed to simply waiving him after the deadline) would be much more beneficial for the Knicks, as Curry's contract is large enough to nearly match up to some of the marquee players the Knicks hope to attract in 2011.
Giving those soon-to-be free agents a a small preview of what the team and the city has to offer (even if it was at the deadline) could help the Knicks chances in summer recruitment.

It is about time they got rid of that dead weight
ReplyDeleteFat Basterd what a waist of money
ReplyDeleteAbout time they got rid of this ,Homo. Dumb Fat Basterd...
ReplyDeleteThis Dumb Fat coon should have been gone.
ReplyDeleteDumbest move in the history of sport would be to waive Curry thus giving him a chance to be picked up by an Eastern conference rival such as Miami, Chicago, Atlanta (teaming backup with Crawford) and coming back during the playoffs inspired and dominate the Amare at the Center posistion....Yes I said it Dominate Amare at the center position...Revenge is the best motivator....Curry has millions of reasons to be motivated to play well why not let him play because he would be playing for a new free agent contract....Curry, Amare, Felton, Chandler and Danilo would be a way better starting five than they have put on the floor so far...His 57% from the field would come in handy
