Knicks Journal is back! After a weeklong blackout due to Hurricane Irene, the blog is back in action with what's sure to be some exciting things coming up in the near future.
In the meantime, while hoping everyone else enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend, let's take a look at how a couple of the Knicks enjoyed theirs.
Fresh off his interview with Knicks Journal, rookie Iman Shumpert headed up to Atlanta, to play alongside other NBA players and celebrities in a charity basketball game during rapper Ludacris' "LudaDay Weekend."
Also in the mix was Carmelo Anthony. On a perhaps more serious note for Knicks fans, during their time in the ATL, Anthony and Shumpert were able to get in a closer workout together. Shumpert's been working harder than almost anybody this summer with his offseason training, but the opportunity to play with and learn from the Knicks' resident superstar is sure to have been a valuable experience for the rookie.
As far as the charity game itself, Anthony took the court for Team Ludacris, while Shumpert caught "Bieber Fever," and represented the opposing squad, led by teen pop star Justin Bieber. Turns out Melo and Luda's squad couldn't put home court advantage to good use, as they fell short to Shumpert and company.
